Larry was on the phone at work. He was talking to a very important client regarding some serious plans. He had a lot of work lined up for the day. He knew it was going to be a hectic day for him and it was only still Monday. He dreaded the fact that the work week had only just begun. While he was engrossed in his work his wife called him up. She was having some trouble with her facebook account. He told her he was very busy at work. He asked her to check for it on Facebook help. She told him that she had tried doing that but could not find a solution to it. He said he would be able to help her only once he got home. He hung up the phone and left to attend his meeting. After the meeting was over, he was asked to take the clients out for dinner as well. He was not too keen on it and tried to get out of it but he was unsuccessful.

It is undeniable that today social networking sites have gained so much popularity. It is also understandable why. These sites after all make it very easy for everyone to connect with everyone else around the world. We have heard lots of love stories that started online, haven’t we? But that’s beside the point, because what I’m trying to stress here is the impact that the web has created to man. Going back to the social networking sites, a few days ago I had the chance to check my myspace account and now I’m wondering, how can I create my own myspace layout? Anyway, I don’t get to use myspace as often as I use facebook these days. As a matter of fact, there have been times when I forgot my myspace password. But knowing that most people have showed preference for facebook over other social networking sites, I might just decide to delete my myspace account in the next few days. When I really take time to reflect, I realize how technology has changed the way man interacts with others.
