Blueberries are a super fruit. Some particular species are loaded with antioxidants. It is the stuff that makes them blue that makes them great. Fresh fruit is always the best to consume for the health benefits. Blueberries also taste great, so even if there is no desire for the health benefits it is okay. Who could turn down a muffin choked full of them? The little blue fruit is great in waffles and jams and jellies too. There are plenty of things in our diets that aren’t the best choices for a long and healthy life. It is important to get as much of the good stuff into our diets as we can. One might not be able to stand most vegetables but may be open to the idea of eating more fresh fruits. Start somewhere even if it is small. That little berry with the blue coloring might be the first step on a path toward better health. At the very least, it will be a path of good tasting stuff.
